Warwick Samuel carries out a wide range of surgery which includes:
Hand
- Carpal tunnel decompression
- Trigger finger release
- Ganglion excision
- Excision of trapezium for osteoarthritis of base of thumb
- Tenosynovectomy for tenosynovitis, including De Quervain’s tenosynovitis
- Correction of deformity after finger fracture
- Dupuytren’s disease – surgery to correct deformity
- Microsurgical nerve repair and release
- Sports injury treatment
- Rheumatoid corrective surgery
- Finger joint replacement
Wrist
- Ganglion removal
- Wrist arthroscopy (operating telescope) and curative arthroscopic surgery
- Stabilisation of carpal instability
- Wrist fracture – early and late corrective surgery
- Rheumatoid corrective surgery
- Wrist replacement
Elbow
- Tennis Elbow injections (with autologous blood or steroid) and Tennis Elbow operations
- Elbow arthroscopy/removal of loose bodies
- Treatment of sports injuries
- Management of elbow fractures

- The majority of operations are done as ‘day cases’. General anaesthetic or local anaesthetic may be used

Qualifications
Trained in Hand Surgery in North West England and in Switzerland. Previously NHS Consultant Orthopaedic and Hand Surgeon at the Royal County Hospital Winchester
until 2009. Full time private practice from then, specialising in the management of elective, or planned, surgery and the management of complex injuries including
the early and late treatment of injuries of the hand, wrist and elbow.
Past examiner to Royal College of Surgeons of England. Member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Author of numerous publications on musculo-skeletal injuries and disorders; Doctorate University of Manchester. Three years laboratory research into bone
destruction in cancer metastasis.
Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery to University of Grenada.
